Green Rascal Design

We started messing around in the beginning of 2010, and "organized" in the summer of that year. Our practice is really a mishmash of architecture design, landscape design, graphics, temp help and inspiration.

Hi, I'm Hollie. Thank you for visiting!

I have a Masters of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and I have a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota. Since then I've been a teacher, writer, designer, practitioner of tai chi and feng shui, chicken keeper and practitioner of permanent agriculture.

I'm a member of the US Green Building Council, the Delaware Valley Green Building Council, the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia and a contributing member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

My core competency is in organizing workflows, procedures and activities spatially into a basis of design that makes sense and is easy to navigate. This means I work best closely with stakeholders on overall schemes for buildings and sites of all sizes. Whether you're a home owner with a small space problem, a new urban neighborhood developer planning a brownfield project or a manufacturing company with a need for a new plant - I can help you get organized with a concept design.

I can also assist with and teach design softwares to other busy design professionals on a temporary basis. This is easy for me, and I'm always glad to help a friend out with a project. I'm quick and efficient and can come to your Philadelphia area office. So if you're an architect in a bind because you need more staff fast for a few days, I can come and crash on your project for a while. Or I can work from my office too. This includes CAD drawings and renderings in 2 or 3D.

Oh, and I know a lot of other architectural designers if you need more people. One of the other things I do really well is match people up or find things they need. I've been networking a lot in the past 3 years, and if you're looking for a specific kind of talent, I probably have a great referral for you.
